Job description
At a Rotterdam shipping company they are reorganizing and expanding their sustainability activities, for example, a sustainability department was recently set up. This department is currently mapping the company's emissions and also improving the related dashboarding/reports. For this, the shipping company is looking for support.
What will you do?
Mapping emissions: The correct emission factors must be linked to consumption. Besides CO2, these include other emissions such as NOx, SOx, CH4, N2O, etc.... Furthermore, the shipping company uses different types of marine diesel and LNG, as well as different types of engines, all with specific emission factors. Consumption and emissions need to be worked out for the 2022 data for about 30 ships.
Dashboarding / Reporting Support: This is related to the previous topic, it should be clearly explained what assumptions and calculation methods were chosen to map the emissions. For internal and external reporting, certain emissions must be visible. Also, the consumption must be verified with our class office, they check the data and give us a certificate if everything is in order.
