This company is seeking a motivated and analytical Master's student to join our research project on Water Governance and the UN 2023 Water Conference. This project aims to analyze the process leading up to the conference, the commitments made during the conference, and their outcomes and follow-up. The research assistant will primarily contribute to the second phase of the project, involving data entry and analysis.

Job description

This company is seeking a motivated and analytical Master's student to join our research project on Water Governance and the UN 2023 Water Conference. This project aims to analyze the process leading up to the conference, the commitments made during the conference, and their outcomes and follow-up. The research assistant will primarily contribute to the second phase of the project, involving data entry and analysis.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct data entry and analysis to support the research objectives of the project.
  • Collaborate with the research team to ensure timely progress.
  • Contribute to the reflection and retrospective analysis of the conference and its outcomes.
  • Stay updated on relevant literature and developments in water governance and capacity development.

Duration

  • The position offers a hybrid work arrangement, allowing flexibility between remote work and on-site collaboration. The specific arrangement will be determined in consultation with the project supervisor.
  • Maximum of 130 hours in total
  • Between 1 June 2023 and 31 July 2023
  • The allocation of hours can be flexibly scheduled throughout the weeks, as long as the project objectives are achieved by the end of July.

Skills needed

  • Currently enrolled in a Master's program, preferably with a focus on water governance or related fields.
  • Strong analytical skills and a genuine interest in water governance and capacity development issues.
  • Proficiency in English is mandatory; knowledge of Dutch is not required, but fluency in French is advantageous.
  • Experience with content analysis software such as Atlas.ti is preferred.
