Job description

A tech company specialising in cycle trainers is looking for an electrical engineering student to join their electrical engineering team. The team you will be working in is a small, fast-growing team of professionals responsible for designing, implementing and maintaining the hardware for all the smart trainer products the company is known for. In this role, you will be part of the Engineering department, consisting of Mechanical, Electrical and Software Engineers. 

As a temporary Student Electrical Engineer, you will support the Electrical Engineering Team with all support work, completing validation, environmental and compliance testing of PCBAs and built-up devices, contributing to troubleshooting development device testing and FQC device issues, ordering EE parts and materials, shipping and picking up packages, administrative work and any other work that supports the Engineering departments.

  • 16 - 24 hours per week
  • For 9 to 12 months

Skills needed

  • You study Electrical Engineering
  • Demonstrated strong and effective verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills in English
  • Experience with Microsoft Office
  • Capable of working with a variety of tools and measurement tools (DMM, power supplies, signal generator, oscilloscope, spectrum analyzer, soldering iron)
  • Some experience with PCB CAD programmes (Altium) is a plus
